PSA I’m not going to say the name or maybe I will further down the line. Maybe you’ll pick up on the clues and figure it out. But I will give some info and behind the scenes about this company; Hell, I might report them to the BBB.
I was with this company for 8 months of my life that I will never get back. Everyone that works in the call center field is well aware of how mentally draining it can be. Especially if you’re on the phones 95% of the shift. And working remotely which I’ve been doing since before COVID is just as bad. One of the better things is you’re home lol. I’ll take being home and working and leaving the extras out over having to get all done up to go to a job I hate.
Now this company is a a third party, kind of like a staffing agency since they have different clients. Now maybe I was assigned to one of the worst clients on the roster. But the company itself is still ass.
My hours sucked and the hours available for this client sucked in general!! (10am-6:30pm cst).
Pay was $14 an hour whether you have experience or not.
Interview and onboarding was a joke. The recruiters don’t explain anything and don’t try to put people with a client that would match. Instead they just want to fill classes. (This company has a high turnover rate as well)
Training sucked. It’s like you’re lucky if you get a good trainer because when I got into production and kept getting in trouble it was mainly because I was trained wrong. The other reason was because I would catch an attitude with the Smes (subject matter experts my ass)
Metrics are not always attainable.
They only care about surveys
No work life balance
Favoritism. Meaning as long as you’re kissing ass to those higher above you life will be easier.
They brag about how it’s like a family and there’s always help but lie detector test determined that was a lie. In fact we would literally have to repost our questions and bug these assholes until we got an answer. Don’t get me wrong there’s a few that are good. But the good majority don’t know the right end of a tunnel.
They force you take your breaks even if you don’t want too.
They hate paying overtime. Like I’m not the only one whose money was played with and hours weren’t adding up!!
They force you to up skill but refuse to properly compensate. for instance, there were agents from my training class that got signed up for pharmacy hub and never got a raise. However I got signed up for claims but they only offer 50 cents. So on top of peanuts ($14 an hour) you offer crumbs but want to add a month of learning all this new shit and systems and a new headache (because the angriest members would call in for claims) all for $14.50. Mind you, I have my MCBC and my CMAA. So in what instance was this pay acceptable? (And before anyone starts, I have two more certifications I need to try to obtain not to mention I was trying to find something to replace this one but I’m glad I’m gone).
Majority of the TLs (team leads) are petty assholes that only care about themselves.
Supervisors hardly ever want to take calls when members are calling in demanding a supervisor. Like they literally make you tell these people they have to set up a supervisor call back that can take 24-48 hours. So what is the point of that? Half the time they don’t even try to solve the problem
Hmm what else? Oh it does deal with a big name health insurance company as well. I forgot to mention that. But I’ll let y’all simmer on this. Stay tuned for part two 😂 🤣
